september 2015
I accidentally scheduled this post to be published on October 1 but it was still in the draft phase. Sorry for those who read it an were super confused! Now, it is fully finished!
September was an interesting month for sure! Between school, extra-curricular commitments, TIFF (I saw so many movies and stars!) and the return of some of my favourite TV shows, reading and blogging got shafted to the back-burner of my mind! Getting back into the groove of everything (ie studying and assignments) after a four month break has been difficult for me. I’m struggling to find the balance between school, my social life and not-so-social life (aka reading/blogging) and it is exhausting!
Thankfully, I had a very productive summer and most of my posts for the rest of the year have already been scheduled. I’ve been so productive when it comes to standalone novels that I’ve already had to start scheduling them into 2016 :O
#uhoh I've started to schedule standalone reviews for January already! I need to start reading more book series for my blog's namesake!

Which in turn, reiterated the fact that I’ve been slacking on my actual series reviews! You know, the whole concept of my blog! Now that I’ve got a handle on my library situation, I hope to get some more series reviews out there and update my previously posted reviews for the rest of the fall!
You can tell school has started! I read only half the number of books I read last month!
- 10 Books Read + 2 novellas
- 0 nonfiction novels
- 3 standalones (including 2 ARCs)
- 0 of books from TBR Jar
- Started 3 new series (including 1 ARCs)
- Finished 0 series from start to end
- Finished 2 previously started series
- Read sequels for 1 previously started series

*Note: If the review is available, click on the cover! However, due to the nature of my blog (ie I review whole series) it often takes me a few weeks to publish a full review (pending book availability) so look forward to seeing some of these reviews in the upcoming weeks/months if there is no link available!
I bought myself the boxset of The Infernal Devices Trilogy as a “back to school” present to myself.

You can read my Summer Update here but I thought I would give a little update since my post.
I’ve decided not to put any new books on hold at the library for October…at all! I really want to get my Trilogy Termination idea off the ground and I want to actually read some books I purchased.
I’m also not going to request any ARCs from Netgalley for the month of October. I have a bit of a backlog happening right now, especially with school starting. The first three weeks have been tame school work wise but they’ve already taken a toll on my reading so I want to focus more on books I own, that don’t have time constraints because it is taking me 2-3x longer to read the average book.
In this monthly feature I pit two books or themes against each other to see who will be triumphant. I give my subjective opinion in the post, but I want to see who would win in your eyes via a poll. Thanks to those who participated!
This month’s final poll results:
Gossip Girl Books 3 | Gossip Girl TV Series 0
Next Battle: TV Adaptions vs Movie Adaptions*

I bought a ticket to see The Weeknd in November and I am soooooooo excited to see him! I saw him last year in the pouring rain and really enjoyed his show. But now I am super excited because I’m in love with his latest album and can’t wait to hear it all live. I haven’t been able to get Angel out of my head all month 😉
