Tag it Thursdays: Seven Deadly Sins

tagitthurs
Tag it Thursdays: I occasionally get tagged by fellow bloggers to complete various tags. Once a month I will post my response. Please, feel free to tag yourself if any of these tags interest you!

This month’s tag:

The Seven Deadly Sins Tag

I was tagged earlier this year by Erin @ Reading With Wrin to do this tag. Thank you SO MUCH for the tag Erin and my apologies for not doing it sooner! This year has just flown by!

Greed

What is your most inexpensive book? What is your most expensive book?

I have never paid full price for a book in my life. I’m so cheap, it’s ridiculous. I’ve always been a part of rewards programs or use promo codes to get a better deal. So, this took a lot of research on my part to find my most expensive novel (The Book of Awesome). For my most inexpensive (Wasted Summer), I didn’t pick a freebie but one I actually paid for.

The Book of Awesome Wasted Summer (Stone Cliff, #2)

Wrath

What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Sophie JordanI’m going to go with Sophie Jordan. I’ve read 3 different series (Firelight, Ivy Chronicles and Uninvited) by her and have been disappointed every time! The crappy thing is that I love her story concepts, just not their execution. And I’m so, so tempted to pick up Reign of Shadows…sigh

Victoria and the RogueGluttony

What book have you devoured over and over again with no shame?

I’ve reread Victoria and the Rogue so many times, it’s ridiculous! One of my favourites from my teen years! And, it was the focus of my Nostalgic Book Tag in the summer.

Fallen (Fallen, #1)Sloth

What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

The whole Fallen Series has been sitting on my shelf due to pure laziness. I’ve even read the first 2 books and have the last 2 books purchased! But time has not been my friend with this series…

Pride

What book do you talk about most in order to sound like an intellectual reader?

I think because my friends know I love Shakespeare and have an English minor, they assume I read very “intellectually-stimulating” novels but that isn’t necessarily the case. And that isn’t to say that the latest YA novel or my most recent romance read are not intelligent books–because they can be–I just know that they don’t expect that to be my answer. I actually talked about this in one of my Meme-ful Discussions and why you shouldn’t be ashamed of reading certain novels.

So long story short: I don’t really have a go to “smarty-pants” book I name drop when needed.

Lust

What attributes do you find attractive in male characters?

I really love male characters that let their leading lady blossom on her own. I hate when female leads are stifled by their male counterpart. I like my romantic leads to be partners and compliment each other in a positive way. I also have a soft spot for nerdy guys.

You can check out more of my book boyfriends on the following list:

Envy

What book would you most like to receive as a gift?

The Mortal Instruments is one of my favourite series ever and I want to add it to my physical book collection. I was going to get the hardcover set until I saw this brand new set. It’s so beautiful! And so expensive! I’m hoping I’ll get it for Christmas or buy it with my first paycheck…

Thanks again Erin!
