Synopsis for The Billionaire and His Nanny (from Goodreads):
The first time I saw Graham Ratliff, I swear the earth shook.
But I was just a teenager with a crush on my father’s best friend. Now he’s divorced, a single dad with an adorable daughter. I’m nineteen, ready to leave home, and desperate to see if Mr. Ratliff is as hot as I remember. Becoming his nanny is the answer to all my problems. I didn’t expect him to treat me so coldly… or to see such heat in his eyes when I tan by his pool. Bet he didn’t expect me, either…

Disclaimer: I stopped reading The Billionaire and His Nanny at 31% (start of Chapter 9) and have opted not to pick up the sequels. Find out why below…
Why I Picked it Up / My Expectations:
I think I got this as a freebie after one of my favourite authors, Laurelin Paige, recommended this series in her monthly newsletter. I had resubscribed to Kindle Unlimited at the time so I decided to dive into this series as I could then read the sequels in the program and I love a good forbidden romance.
What I Liked:
Um, I can’t really pinpoint something that I really liked but I supposed I enjoyed the idea of this story. I love the tension that comes from a good forbidden romance…but that didn’t really happen. I suppose Graham was a decent guy and not a sleeze-bag like he could have been in this situation; and his daughter was pretty adorable.
What I Didn’t Like:
–Lack of Chemistry–
I failed to see any chemistry or even attraction between these two. Abbie is pretty clear about her attraction but Graham gives very little away if he feels anything towards her. I craved those lingering touches and looks and that wasn’t really there.
–Abbie’s Immaturity–
This was probably the biggest reason I DNF’d this book. Graham came across as so mature and Abbie just seemed to be so out of touch with reality. I get that part of the dynamic of this “forbidden” romance is the older man and younger girl but it just made me feel icky than swoony.
Will I Finish It?
I don’t think so.
My Rating: DNF

This is one of those series where the characters just couldn’t make it work for me.
Read if You Like: age-gap romances
Avoid if You: dislike immature heroines
