My Expectations?
I adored the Royally Series. I often think of it fondly when I’m thinking about a very good contemporary romance series; I’d almost say it’s one of my gold standards that I compare other series to. So, needless to say, I was really looking forward to spending some more time in this world.
How Does It Compare To The Original?
–A Great Cast of Characters–
One of the things I loved most about the Royally Series is the fantastic cast of characters. Everyone, even the side characters, are layered and fun. You just want to spend time with them and get to know them all better.
–Perfect Blend of Swoon, Humour and Emotion–
Once again, you feel everything reading an Emma Chase novel. She really knows how to rev up all your emotions.
Anything I Didn’t Like?
–Romantic Pairing Not Quite Up to Par–
In my original review of the Royally Series I wrote:
[…]all of these characters make my “Favourite Couples” list. They were everything I love in a romantic pair. Great communication, complementary personalities, a strong partnership. While they grow as people, so does the romance.
Unfortunately, I can’t say quite the same for this one. I wanted a little more between Tommy and Abby. Like they have this explosive chemistry and all, but I wasn’t entirely convinced they were soul mates. I appreciated some of the hurdles they overcome and it strengthened their bond but that isn’t really until the latter end of the novel.
My Expectations for the Rest of the Series:
I can’t find any more information about other sequels but I certainly hope there will be more! I love all the little inklings we got about potential sequels and I would love to learn more about some of the characters we meet!
Series Rating: 4/5
Dirty Charmer 4/5 | Book 2 ?

Synopsis for Dirty Charmer (from Goodreads):
Abigail Haddock is stunning, sensible, and some would say . . . stuffy. But it’s not really her fault. She was raised in one of Wessco’s oldest, most affluent, aristocratic families—“stuffy” is their middle name. So is successful. Abby’s working overtime to distinguish herself as a top-notch physician, just as her family legacy demands.
She doesn’t have time for nonsense.
Tommy Sullivan’s all about nonsense.
Sure, he’s an elite bodyguard with lethal skills and co-owner of the renowned, S&S Securities Firm—protector of the wealthy and titled. But he’s also rowdy, fun and thoroughly irresistible.
Tommy knows how to have a good time, and he’s never seen someone more in need of a good time than Abby. The lass needs long, wet, filthy kisses—STAT—and he’s just the man for the job.
It doesn’t take long for a wildly sexy, sinfully satisfying, no-strings attached arrangement to turn into something more. Something sweet and addictive and real. But Tommy and Abby are too royally stubborn to admit it.
Opposites attract, everyone knows that. But can they last—can they love…for forever?
