Thoughts:
Bella Andre is an author that I find is very hit or miss with me. I nearly quit reading the Sullivan Series after the first one but sometimes her stories get on my annoyed side. I also find she rushes with plots that are introduced at the start and then conclude within the last 10 pages of the story; it’s like she focuses on getting as much sex in there as possible and then remembers the plot points.
Book 1, Take Me had all the makings of a great book, but it just fell apart. I liked the characters (until the end when Lily irked me to no end with an issue she had resolved and she kept droning on about it) and I liked the plot premise (but I felt like the “game of desire” was never acknowledged by Travis).
Book 2, Love Me was a freebie from Kobo. I felt like it was more of an extended epilogue of two characters from Take Me, as there was essentially no plot. I was happy to see it written, but it could have been a lot better.
Conclusion:
The good side is, it’s a quick read and if you want a cute romantic story then you will enjoy it. At first the book reminded me a lot of a Meg Cabot novel with the way the plot was set up, just more erotica based than Meg Cabot’s novels. So if you are looking for a sexier read, this might be the one for you.
