Riffle Lists: Slow Burn Romance

Riffle is an independent book site that keeps track of what books you are reading and want to read. It’s similar to GoodReads but it keeps things simple and is super easy to use. One of my favourite features is the ability to create and share lists! It is a great way to create your own list of books that have a certain theme for your own records AND a fantastic way to discover new books through other users’ lists!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I love (no pun intended) romance themed lists around Valentine’s Day every year. I’m a sucker for a good romance novel and I read them all the time.

This year, I was inspired by my recent Trope Thursday Feature where I looked at the slow burn romance. Normally, I want things to happen fast in my novels but the slow burn romance is the exception. There is nothing I love more than some great sexual tension between leads!

Here are some notable books with slow burn romances:

Smut | The Raven Boys | A Stardance Summer | The Wall of Winnipeg and Me | Defy the Stars | Duels & Deception | Unknown | To Win Her Heart | Idol | Play | Cross the Stars | Blackhearts | Schooled | The Mad Tatter | Lost & Found

Riffle Lists: Canadian Authors

Riffle is an independent book site that keeps track of what books you are reading and want to read. It’s similar to GoodReads but it keeps things simple and is super easy to use. One of my favourite features is the ability to create and share lists! It is a great way to create your own list of books that have a certain theme for your own records AND a fantastic way to discover new books through other users’ lists!

As you may or may not know, 2017 is a big year for Canada, my home country. We’re celebrating our 150th anniversary of independence and general awesomeness.

We’ve been celebrating since January 1st truthfully, in some way or another. All our National Parks are free for ANYONE to visit in 2017 and boy, are they worth visiting! Canada is a beautiful country that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. So if you’ve ever wanted to come visit, now’s the time!

But today in particular is super special because July 1st is our national holiday to celebrate the “birth of our nation”. So I thought it would be fun to list some of my favourite Canadian authors to celebrate the occasion!

Read my reviews on their works:

Lesley Livingston  |  Kelley Armstrong  |  Piper Lawson  |  Kelly Bowen  |  Cindy Anstey  |  Elle Kennedy  |  J C Hannigan  |  Alyxandra Harvey  |  Elisabeth Grace  |  Adrienne Kress  |  Helena Hunting  |  K A Tucker  |  Jacqueline E Garlick

I could go on and on about my wonderful country but I’ll let these videos do my talking for me:
